Prue King

Yoga Teacher

Prue completed her yoga training in the Krishnamacharya tradition and has recently completed a Post-graduate diploma in Yoga Therapy with Yoga Therapy Australia and Dr N Chandrasekaran MBBS , Yoga Vaidya Sala, Chennai, India.

She believes that yoga should be adapted to the individual and his or her specific needs and life situation, rather than the individual having to adapt to a set practice. In this way anyone is able to participate in a yoga practice and experience its many layered benefits.

For individual lessons Prue will carry out an initial assessment and discuss your individual requirements and goals. A personal practice can be designed for you and either private or small group classes arranged.

She also runs a general weekly “slow flow” class linking movement with the breath and using the many tools of yoga including asana, pranayama, sound, visualization and meditation.

Yoga Asana

"For each of us, our health lies in our own hands!
As a long-term yoga practitioner I am a firm believer in the
benefits of stretching, strengthening and aligning your body,
connecting with your breath and focusing and calming your mind
for increasing and maintaining both physical and mental health and well-being
.

As health practitioners we can only do so much - give advice
and treat in what we feel is an appropriate manner at the time.
The rest of health and healing must come from within the individual -
a conscious desire to be healthy and the commitment to take
the necessary steps to achieve health and happiness."
