Sindar Kaur

Yoga and Meditation teacher and Ayurvedic healer

Sindar Kaur“I remember as a kid chanting and meditating with my dad. This was my first exposure to yoga which led me to explore meditation and study all other aspects of yoga for the last 25 years. Yoga has since, consistently proven to be a profound and practical tool for increasing vitality, harmony and the bounce in my life and daily activities.”

Sindar undertook her training in yogic sciences (including classical-contemporary yoga, kriya yoga, meditation and ayurveda) in Australia, India and the United States. In the 15 years of teaching to people from all walks of life, she has found that ‘yoga is for everyone, but not all postures suit everybody’. She therefore emphasizes practicing yoga: (i) intelligently - personalized to the student’s needs and body constitution, and (ii) holistically - considering the impact on the whole person - body, breath, emotions, mind and spirit.

As well as training student-teachers of yoga at Nature Care College (Sydney) for the last seven years, Sindar conducts mentoring programs and continuing professional development (CPD) for yoga teachers and healthcare givers, in Australia and overseas. She further runs group classes and offers one-on-one yoga therapy sessions from Lotus Health where she teaches yoga for back pain and EASY® meditation.

She is also trained in energy healing and a range of mind-body therapies. For the last 20 years, she has been working from various holistic health centers around Sydney and doing home visits. She has a long established healing practice in Sydney North, which complements her yoga therapy work.

When not at work, Sindar loves going to the beach, walking, dancing, dining, shopping, watching movies and travelling.

Sindar also hold workshops and teaches Meditation at Lotus Health. Subscribe to keep updated.

Meditation for Everyone

This is a disarmingly simple method of guided meditation that induces the body to experience deep muscular relaxation, and the mind to soak into a peaceful state. In this state, the body begins to release chronic stress, pain, past hurt, trauma, fears, phobias, and heal deep psychological wounds, bringing about profound and positive health benefits. One hour of practice is said to be equivalent to four hours of conventional sleep. (Results may vary). Open to everyone. Meditation for Health and Happiness Course

Yoga for Back Pain

These classes are focussed on overcoming back pain and restoring spinal fitness through application of yoga postures, breath techniques, relaxation, and basic Pilates. You will learn about correct posture, core strength, pelvic stability, and how to stretch and strengthen the back muscles, decompress the spine and mobilise the joints. Yoga is complementary to physiotherapy and chiropractics.

Energy Healing& Balancing

An energy healing treatment redresses any imbalances in the flow of our life-force within, and also offers intuitive guidance and counselling. A healing session begins with subtle manipulation of pressures points in the head and neck, chakra balancing and hands on energy work to remove deep-seated tensions and redirect the flow of life-force at cellular level. “When Sindar touches my head, shoulders, feet and all the chakras, I feel warmth and a great release of tension, and feel completely reborn afterwards.” (Sophia, Dentist)
